A Great Beginning,
By Stone Larence "J.S.R.L.M." (Street, MD) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Complete Guide to Needlework (Audio CD)
From the time that this CD starts until it ends, there is absolutely no lack of intensity. First and foremost, the emotions that the singer (Frankie Palmeri) is feeling are extremely clear. The hurt and pain is depicted in his agonized vocals. Second, the music behind him ranges from violent riffs to heartfelt soloing, capturing the listener and bringing them to a pictorial of a love betrayed. Also, the length of each individual song is used to perfection, always keeping the listener captivated and interested. I strongly recommend this CD to anyone who is into countless breakdowns done with style, very brutal vocals, explorative music-playing, and great production. The only downfall is that this CD is six tracks long and clocking in at just under twenty minutes; however... for the twenty minutes "The Complete Guide to Needlework" plays, you will enjoy this refreshingly heavy first installment from Emmure.
