Great series
I highly recommend this collection. The stories are a good read. Having all the stories in a single collection makes the books a keeper. Should have bought hard cover.

God these suck.
These stories are really awful. I've tried reading the hammer series many times and every time I find them to be so tedious and boring filled with unlikeable characters that I wonder why I ever started them.

This is a terrific collection of short stories about different characters on different planets that have brought in mercenaries to fight their wars for them.
