5.0 out of 5 stars This is the best book on the market, July 14, 2007
This review is from: The Complete Handbook of Coaching Wide Receivers (Paperback)
Coach Myers' has really done his homework. It is very detailed and organized. I cannot imagine any book on wide receivers being easier to understand or useful. Coach Myers' really brakes wide receiver play down in this book so meticulously that there is nothing left to chance. Every detail and nuance is gone over. As a guy who has spent most of his time on defense at the college level, this book has truly changed my thought process on wide receiver play. Make no mistake, the difference IS in the details.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very inspirational author and useful guide, December 22, 2009

This review is from: The Complete Handbook of Coaching Wide Receivers (Paperback)
As a football coach I want to point out that this text is an outstanding reference for anyone wanting to learn more about coaching wide receivers. Ironically, Coach 'Susan' Myers is one of the few female football coaches in America. She published this text under her nickname Chuck apparently at the suggestion of the publisher. I learned this after writing an essay for a sports science course I had entitled Gender Issues in Sport. She is a rarity in the profession but clearly has proven her ability and knowledge of the game. I personally own the reference and would recommend it to both coaches and aspiring receivers as well.

Well structured, well written, highly informative!
My son is making very good progress as we work through this book.
I have spent many years as a military and commercial pilot instructor dealing with all sorts of instructional manuals for dynamic rather than just classroom instruction.
This one is excellent.

This review is from: The Complete Handbook of Coaching Wide Receivers (Paperback)
As a little league coach, I found that this book was a very informative and helpful resource for me in coaching my son's team. Having had minimal knowledge of the specifics of coaching football, Coach Myers book provided me with detailed and step-by step coaching points as to how to train the young boys to play the game. It is a very thorough, technically sound guide, yet easy to use. I have recommended this book to all of my friends who are coaching their sons teams.

5.0 out of 5 stars Impressive teaching aid with a lot of depth, January 6, 2009

This review is from: The Complete Handbook of Coaching Wide Receivers (Paperback)
I bought this to help my 14yr old son who's interested in WR position in HS. Having coached sports for years I've read a lot of coaching books and viewed a lot of coaching dvds over the years. I am very impressed with the level of depth this book goes into for the WR position. I like how it takes you from the basics of proper stance, to routes, to shake off moves, and all the way through strategies of which routes to run based on which defense the opponent is using. I would highly recommend this to any coach, player or parent interested in truely understanding and improving this position.

5.0 out of 5 stars High School Coach Raves About Book!, June 13, 2007
This review is from: The Complete Handbook of Coaching Wide Receivers (Paperback)
Coach Myers' new book is one of the best football coaching manuals I have ever used. A detailed yet easy-to-use gude for coaching, I plan to utilize the book heavily during this upcoming football season with my wide receivers. The book features skills and techniques, ranging from stance and start to wide receiver blocking -- basically encompassing all aspects of wide receiver play. I am convinced that I will become a better coach and am recommending this book to all my coaching friends -- ranging from the local YMCA to the NFL.

4.0 out of 5 stars Very Refreshing, December 17, 2007
This review is from: The Complete Handbook of Coaching Wide Receivers (Paperback)
I'm looking forward to completing this book. I was very excited to find out that Coach S. "Chuck" Meyers is a female football coach in Carrollton Texas! That makes me all the more enthusiastic to finish the book. There are very good insights not only for coaches, but for parents too. She is an inspiration to female football fans everywhere, especially those who want to help their children with the sport.
