Great complete book,
This review is from: The Complete Handbook for Gemstone Weight Estimation (Paperback)
This book is all I hoped that it would be and more. It enables me to quickly determine the type of cut of the gemstone. And from there, determine how many carats in the gemstone. I highly recommend this book.

Comprehensive and Easy to Use,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: The Complete Handbook for Gemstone Weight Estimation (Paperback)
This book appears to be comprehensive and easy to use. A great tool for jewelry appraisers. However, I haven't had the time to thoroughly review, but I am concerned that the estimated diamond weights appear to be off. A 6.5mm round diamond typically (depending on depth of the stone) will weigh approximately 1 ct. The estimate in the book is much higher at 1.26-1.35ct. That is a big price difference which would cause a novice to overvalue a stone.
