If it is not in this dictionary, chances are you mis-looked up the word.

Yes, this dictionary is the most complete dictionary of its kind for Hebrew. The Hebrew has both modern (the publisher has added more modern usages at the end) and older Hebrew and will be of immense use and help in all aspects.

Its translations are clear and precise, and I have yet to find a dictionary as comprehensive. Most beginners will advance in their understanding just by using it. However, sometimes it is helpful to know the root form of the words. Students of Biblical, Mishnaic and Rabbinic Hebrew will like this dictionary for its comprehensiveness, and ease of use.

It is however a bulky heavyweight of a dictionary, and since is slightly dated, perhaps should be supplemented with a smaller more current dictionary for modern Hebrew speakers. (perhaps Oxford Dictionary: English-Hebrew/Hebrew-English by Ya'Acov Levy)

This is clearly a reference work, that will be well used for many years to come. Everyone should note that this set also has its sister set of English-Hebrew - a real must when looking for the word that best fits the English - and with a comprehensive dictionary - you're sure to get the right hebrew word.

No library of Hebrew Studies is complete without this book. In the field of lingustics, Reuven dictionary it is mutually acclaimed as the only Hebrew Dictionary one need purchase.
