Unable to decide between this and a few books similar to it, I purchased them all so I could compare them side by side. I must agree with one of the other reviews that the pages are just photocopies that are spiral bound together...very cheaply made. And the information to record in this book isn't as nice as in others (2 for example sold here also...Our House Journal: The Story of Our Home, which is good for sentimental things like photos, and Welcome Home: A Home Improvement and Decorating Organizer, which handles the facts and sample information). I definately would not recommend this book to others.

For the first time in years, I feel like my home is organized, thanks to this book. And it has already paid for itself three times because it saved me from buying the wrong paint color and furnace filter. When it came time to remember where I bought both, I looked in this book rather than rummaging through countless drawers and, in exasperation, running out and buying what I hoped was right. When my garbage disposal broke a few months after buying it, I told the plumber the make, model, and serial number over the phone, which saved on time he actually spent at my house. The binding is very useful because it let meadd a lot of my own pages with notes and photographs, etc.

I'm glad a publisher finally had the foresight to put a book like this in a three-ring binder. It lays flat and pages can be added. Very practical. I give them out as housewarming gifts and wedding gifts. People love them.

I feel organized for the first time in my life! And I know where everything in my house is kept now thanks to this book. It offers room for a lot more rooms and outdoor items like fences and pools than what I have, so much of it is a waste for me. But, since it's in a three-ring binder, I just take those pages out and put more of my own notes in. It works great.

This is a neat organizer. It's easy to follow, handy to use, and organized very well. I've already saved time and money because I haven't made any purchasing mistakes. I actually take it with me to the hardware store when I buy bulbs, filters, paint, drapes, anything.

I was surprised to find a negative review for this book when I logged on to leave very positive feedback. What I received was exactly what the description said I would ---a well-done organizer, compiled in a three-ring binder so that I can add information pertinent to my home. I'm thoroughly pleased with the information provided in the book because it has forced me to get organized. Now I can go to Home Depot with my Organizer and I have all the information I need and don't have to worry about calling home for more measurements, etc. after I'm there. No more guessing on size of windows, colors of walls, manufacturer of tile or paint, etc.

I really think the last reviewer did this book a disservice. In fact, I've recommended this to a number of friends.

I can not believe that for...I recieved a standard 3 ring binder with black & white, very obviously photocopied, pages that weren't even completely attached. There was also one plastic sleve, for holding samples I guess. I bought 5 of these for home warming gifts and I would be embarressed to give any of them out. They're being shipped back today. The concept is good, but the presentation is the cheapest I've ever seen.
