4.0 out of 5 stars Great Book on Altering, April 21, 2007
This review is from: The Complete Idiot's Guide to Altered Art Illustrated (Mass Market Paperback)
Okay I won't lie, my art is in this book. I couldn't wait for it to be published and bought it immediately here on Amazon.com when available By the way, I researched and Amazon.com has the best price for the book.

First I checked for my art ha but a day or so later I started reading the book. Wow! I was blown away by all the wonderful information and techniques contained in the book.

I have been altering for about 2 years now and wish I would have had this guide when I started just to get the feel of how to do things and get some of the tips Allyson gives you in the book.

So, don't wait, get the book today and start altering!

4.0 out of 5 stars Creativity impaired, June 12, 2007
This review is from: The Complete Idiot's Guide to Altered Art Illustrated (Mass Market Paperback)
Homebound from surgery for six weeks and unable to drive my car (or play golf) a thoughtful friend sent me this book to aid in my boredom. When it comes to arts and crafts I'm truly deficient but here was this delightful book full of ideas that even I could master. I sent my husband to the craft store for basic tools and I was on my way. Through these pages I found my creative bent. Look for yours.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great for Getting Started, June 5, 2007
This review is from: The Complete Idiot's Guide to Altered Art Illustrated (Mass Market Paperback)
I really enjoyed this book - I started scrapbooking recently but also wanted to try making altered books. This was a great start for me because the projects were very good, but not intimidating like some of the other projects I've seen in books. I have been able to get ideas from this book that I can really use.

This book has helped me get started with altering books and other items. I think it is particularly helpful for the scrapbooker who wants to try altered art.
