About the Author

Pastor William R. Grimbol has been working with young people since 1969 as a youth program director. A graduate of Princeton Theological Seminary, he is the minister of Shelter Island Presbyterian Church in New York. Pastor Grimbol is also the author of The Complete Idiot's Guide to Spirituality for Teens, Why Should I Care? Honest Answers to the Questions that Trouble Teens, and Befriending Your Teenager: How to Prevent a Crisis from Happening. He is also the coordinator of the "Make Hope Happen" ecumenical ministry program, which serves "kids" from 5 to 95. He lives in Sag Harbor, New York.

The Old Testament overview in this guide was really dry. The New Testament overview however was VERY GOOD. Get it anyway but skip The Old Testament.

Bill Grimbol has such an amazing way with teens (his Idiot's Guide to Spirituality for Teens is phenomenal -- can't recommend it enough). His Bible Study book not only helps kids to see the stories in the Bible for their beautiful and true meanings, but also speaks to teens in a way that's respectful and never condescending. He is truly a gifted pastor and any teen (or adult!) could learn something valuable from this tome. Buy it!
