About the Author

Signe R. Larson, M.D., is a practicing pediatrician in a busy Manhattan practice. She also teaches pediatrics to interns and residents at Mount Sinai hospital.

Kevin Osborn is the author of The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Parenting a Preschooler and Toddler. He’s published more than three dozen books for both adults and children, including The Mother-to-Be Book, a guide to the third trimester of pregnancy and impending parenthood.

If ever there was an owners manual for babies, this has got to be it! I am five months pregnant, and just started reading this book. I am not even done, and I already love it! This book should be handed out by every ObGyn to first time parents!

We purchased this book as a guide for our new baby and it just wasn't very good. Like most other "Idiot's Guide to" books this book is much too general and not the shelf reference book we were looking for. An example is information on reflux which is something we encountered. The book has about one small paragraph and better information was easily found on the internet.

If you want a great "owners manual" for your new baby there are much better choices out there.
