This review is from: The Complete Idiot's Guide to Electrical Repair (Kindle Edition)
Don't buy this book. It contains little useful information and is poorly illustrated. I bought this book because I want add a new panel to my house and am considering doing most of the wiring myself. After reading the book, I still don't know how to wire light switches in different parts of a room to control the same light fixtures, how to wire 220V circuits, what type of wire to use for different amperages, etc. The wiring drawings are scanned drawings done on paper and there are no diagrams at all telling you what wires to connect where. The photos are black and white and on the Kindle you can't really see anything. Honestly, the authors need to read The Complete Idiot's Guide to writing Complete Idiot's Guides.
