5.0 out of 5 stars It's hard being a teen, March 13, 2002
By A Customer
Unfortunately, it isn't always easy being a teenager -- especially a teen-age girl -- and friendships are often tricky, especially in the middle-school years. I bought this book and Complete Idiot's Guide to Surviving Peer Pressure for Teens for my daughter, and she's read them both cover to cover. The authors of both books got my daughter -- and me! -- through some difficult moments. Highly recommended!

3.0 out of 5 stars Might be a good read for teens, February 25, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I think this book was written for teens to read, not as a resource for parents. As the parent of a daughter who has problems making and maintaining friends, this book was not what I was looking for. It doesn't get into the skills needed to make friends, the "hows" of making friends, the body language, and the reasons a teen may have difficulty with friendship and what to do about it all. The book is very light, and optomistic and is written in language that teens will relate to. I think it would serve as a reminder of what friendship is all about to a teen going through a tough time, but not necessarily one with chronic problems.
