This guide provides delicious recipes that are easy to follow and quite accessible.

Most of the recipes that I have tried have been quite good, and if you'd like to experiment with more exotic ingredients you'll love this book.
Bob S.
I would recommend it for anyone just looking for some good smoothie recipes and nothing to deep or informational.

I strive to maintain a healthy diet, but I like a simple life and tend to do most of my shopping at the local grocery store or farmers market (when in season). It's just less expensive and more convenient to do it that way. Therefore, I don't typically have items such as hazelnut butter, fresh fennel, sorrel, acai, lucuma powder, chicory greens, hemp seeds, elderberries, mache, maca powder, milk thistle powder, goji berries, etc., etc. on hand. To be fair, there are plenty of recipes that contain more commonplace items, and the author frequently offers variations and substitutions. All recipes are vegan friendly and none contain added sugars or significant salt. (A few include maple syrup.)

The recipes are grouped into several categories: Everyday Smoothies, Superfood Smoothies, Weight Loss Smoothies, Healing Smoothies, Tonics, Smoothies for Athletes, Smoothies for Kids, and Exotics. The book opens by presenting the rationale for incorporating more smoothies into your diet (with references). It also includes a glossary and directs the reader to other smoothie resources. Most of the recipes that I have tried have been quite good, and if you'd like to experiment with more exotic ingredients you'll love this book.

Most of the smoothie recipes in here are too complicated to make and use exotic ingredients. I tried to make a few but then resorted to just making up my own recipes with basic ingredients that I usually have around the house.

Being new to smoothies, but not totally, I wanted a book that gave some background and information about smoothies. . .. not just a recipe book. I looked over several and found this one to be the most complete. I have only one complaint and that is some of the ingredients can get exotic and not really necessary. . . .like Maca. I had to go look that one up to see what kind to use. . .and there are lots of kinds of Maca. I really like this book, however.

As author Bo Rinaldi points out, smoothies are a great way to ingest lots of nutritionally dense food in a form that is very easy to digest. And because smoothies are so easy to make, and are delicious, it's all a pleasure.

What I especially appreciate about this book is that it includes such a variety of ingredients in the many smoothies it provides recipes for. As a raw vegan (and recipe book author myself) I'm delighted to discover ingredients that I have never run into before, such as pine pollen!

I also like that the author gives helpful tips for newbies on blenders, plus lots of nutritional info about these smoothies.

Please note that I have not tried all of the book's many recipes yet, but I plan to!

I truly had no idea that there could be so much variety within the world of blended fruit and vegetable drinks. This book is definitely about more than just making green drinks; it's about taking on a lifestyle. That lifestyle involves being acutely aware of the physical attributes and nutritional content of every ingredient you might want to include. I'm not even through reading this book and I love it so much I have to rave.

Soon I am going to post a review of it on my site kalesmoothierecipes.com, but for now I just couldn't wait to contribute to the conversation. Get this book! Worth its weight in gold, for real.

is amazing! I have been wanting for a while to get me and my family healthier and this was the perfect way to get started. The recipies are simple and they actually taste good, which was a relief because my husband is a picky eater and not so on board with the new lifestyle changes I have been desperatly trying to achieve. I love the recipies and I love this book! If your looking for an easy way to start living a more healthy life this book is the perfrct place to get started.
