2.0 out of 5 stars Great After the First Two Misprinted Chapters
The Table and Contents as well as the first two chapters of this book were printed for "The Complete Idiots Guide to Better Skin." Even the second copy was misprinted.

Other than that, my husband enjoyed it.

This review is from: The Complete Idiot's Guide to Guerrilla Marketing (Mass Market Paperback)
Susan Drake and Colleen Wells have produced a marvelous resource in The Complete Idiot's Guide to Guerilla Marketing. The book's purpose is to teach readers how to creatively market their products and services, particularly when working within a limited budget. It's a small business's dream come true.

Since many small business people aren't already familiar with the process of marketing, the book begins with the basics: what marketing is and isn't, why it's necessary, what the traditional techniques involve, and what 'guerilla marketing' implies. Today's consumers are jaded by decades of traditional advertising, and traditional advertising is also very expensive, often out of the reach of those with a limited budget. Guerilla marketing is all about coming up with creative ways to reach and interest your target audience, at a cost you can afford.

'Guerilla Marketing' is absolutely invaluable to the kind of entrepreneurs the web environment is creating in all of us: whether you're an author trying to promote your books, an eBay seller marketing handmade crafts, or a coffee shop owner wanting to attract local foot-traffic, you'll find plenty of guidance to turn you into a more savvy businessperson and marketer.

Drake and Wells have produced a remarkably detailed and thorough resource that's adaptable to the needs of almost any business. Whether you're a traditional businessman looking to delve into the new areas of marketing, or a web entrepreneur suddenly forced to realize you have to do more than create a quick web page if you want steady income, you'll definitely find what you need in this book.

1.0 out of 5 stars Healthy Aging for Your Skin, January 27, 2011
When I first received The Complete Idiot's Guide to Guerrilla Marketing I was interested to see what sort of things it might have to say that I hadn't already heard elsewhere. I flipped to the table of contents, only to discover that the book was full of stuff I didn't know about like, Your Skin Before 40, or What to Do About Crows Feet. Turns out, the table of contents and the first two chapters were from The Complete Idiot's Guide to Skincare, or some such book.

Whoops.

So I sent it back. I'm still not sure if Amazon has reimbursed me for the return shipping for a problem that was obviously not of my making. Anyways, I got my new copy in a fairly timely manner but lo-and-behold, there it was again - the same printing problem that I had just sent the book back for. It's not worth it to send the book back again. I guess they don't really read the comments about why you are sending a book back, or at least it never occurred to them to look and see if the other books in stock had the same problem.

Not happy. Not happy at all, Amazon.
