This book was fantastic! It was simple reading on a very confusing subject. This book combined very informative straight talk with just the right amount of humor. It held my attention. I can now watch financial review shows on TV and know what they are talking about.

This is a good book for beginners. If you have no clue about what goes on in wall street, or with investing in general, this is a great place to start. The author covers the basics about different kinds of investment instruments. I read through the entire book and decided which ones I liked and am currently investing in them. This is a book on basics so don't expect to join an indepth conversation with executives at brokerage firms after reading it. It's just enough for you to start investing...

"The Complete Idiot's Guide to Making Money on Wall Street" by Christy Heady is a superb introduction to the principles of investing. I was so impressed with the book that I bought it for my girlfriend to get her started investing in mutual funds. Each chapter is extremely well written. The point Ms. Heady makes repeatedly is that you don't have to be wealthy to start investing. She cites a number of ways you can get started with as little as $50 a month (such as a no-load mutual fund or a DRIP plan). As a matter of fact, Ms. Heady got me so interested in investing that I got started with $50 dollars. I now follow the market everyday online.
