5.0 out of 5 stars Great gift to those who want to retire early!
Great gift to those who constantly talk about wanting to retire early, but don't have a clue on how to start an early retirment plan. This book will definitely get them on track to retiring early.

For those who have some plans in place for early retirment, this book will help them examine their past and present decisions to see if they are on track. Also, it will...

2.0 out of 5 stars Not what I was looking for.
This book suscribes to the usual retirement formula of needing
piles of money to retire. It pretty much adheres to the idea
that one needs to replace 70-80% of pre-retirement income in order
to retire. The best books on this subject focus instead on using
the approach of how much income do you need to retire with what you
need? In other...

Loved those "From the Hammock" comments - quick and easy to read!

Who wouldn't want to be able to retire early...even if you didn't retire, it is still nice to know that you have enough money invested, and saved to do so. This book will help you do that! Clear outlines, creative ideas, a must read for all of us "Baby Boomers"! You don't have to be rich to retire....

4.0 out of 5 stars GOOD RESOURCE, September 30, 2009

This is a great resource for anyone wanting to retire early or not. Depending on the publishing date, some of the information may be outdated (like the 457b plan info) so be sure to keep that in consideration. However, this is a comprehensive book which is easy and even fun to read for those who are looking for clear guidance in what can be a complex and sometimes overwhelming path to building up wealth for retirement. It covers all the important financial topics the average working (or retired) person should be aware of in regards to retirement in an easy to understand format. A good reference book to go back to over and over. Good addition to your financial library.
