Full of Errors, October 2, 2009
This review is from: The Complete Idiot's Guide to Self-Testing Your IQ (Mass Market Paperback)
I gave up on this book after the first test - there were at least 3 wrong answers.
I did look ahead to chapter 2 which outlines the different types of subtests that makeup IQ tests. The section on spatial ability shows a problem that was included in the first IQ test - only this time it showed a different answer as being correct!
This is a hastily put together, poorly written (at least as far as the actual tests go) book.
The whole point of a book like this is to test your IQ and if the tests can't be trusted the book is useless. I've purchased books to test your IQ in the past and never had this sort of problem. This is the first book I've purchased in the Idiot series and I won't be buying another.

Seriously flawed, April 12, 2009
This review is from: The Complete Idiot's Guide to Self-Testing Your IQ (Mass Market Paperback)
I'd like to reinforce an earlier review. I found the tests to be seriously flawed, but then if you buy a book for idiots, it sort of presupposes what kind of score you're expecting....

Several Inaccurate Answers but basically a good book, January 17, 2009
This review is from: The Complete Idiot's Guide to Self-Testing Your IQ (Mass Market Paperback)
In spite of finding some inaccuracies and typos in this book, I think the author deserves credit for a good book. I would recommend this book for anyone who enjoys problem-solving or maybe going back to school or looking for a new job because it has a wide variety of self-tests.

This book had two incorrect answers recorded for the Iq Test for Children 7-15 years. Questions 24 and 38 were incorrectly recorded.
