5.0 out of 5 stars Great book to help rid yourself of excuses not to excersize.
I currently have a small library of workout books and had gotten to the point where I felt like there weren't any new books out there that I need to add to my collection. This one I checked out of the library out of curiosity. My husband and I were so impressed with the organization and information in this book we've decided to buy a copy for ourselves. First off, I consider myself pretty knowledgeable when it comes to personal fitness, so book was a disappointment to me. I shouldn't be surprised considering that it's a "Complete Idiot's Guide", it got the basics that you need to know.
If you're looking for a primer or entry level book to begin your personal fitness quest or whatever, this is a good book. If...

I currently have a small library of workout books and had gotten to the point where I felt like there weren't any new books out there that I need to add to my collection. This one I checked out of the library out of curiosity. My husband and I were so impressed with the organization and information in this book we've decided to buy a copy for ourselves. We had gotten to a plateau in our workouts. We were working out three times a week and just could find any more time to go to the gym. Using some of the workout in this book we've been able to fit in one or two more workouts per week and that has made all the difference in our weight control program. This would be a good book for someone who is ultra-busy but still has in interest in maintain their good health.

If you're looking for a primer or entry level book to begin your personal fitness quest or whatever, this is a good book. If you're at a more advanced level, or are ready for a higher level of commitment, then this book isn't.
