This is a great resource to anyone interested in performance poetry. This is the real deal. The CD is fabulous. Slam Poetry is so exciting and this is a great way to know the ins and outs of the Slam experience.

Not so much I didn't like it more it didn't answer my question: How to write slam poetry? As an introduction to slam poetry circuits, the book covers territory, though I'm sure that territory's now ready for updating, easily done via the web.

The book works great as a teaching resource. And the CD is fantastic and entertaining. Both (book and CD) stand on their own. Highly recommended.
