After reading Dr. Fredericks The Complete Idiot's Guide to Success as a Teacher, I have learned an abundance of practical information regarding the teaching profession. I have read many journal and magazine articles regarding educational issues and teaching strategies/techniques, but I have never come across any reading material that held my attention and interest as much as this book did. It is written in such a way that anyone can understand the concepts that Fredericks introduces and explains. This guide is not only an easy read, but is very informative and is quite useful for anyone who is an educator.
I have learned so much from reading Dr. Fredericks guide. The tips, suggestions, ideas, and strategies that are presented in this book, will be quite practical for anyone to use in the classroom. He provides strategies and tips on how to create the most efficient lesson plans, how to choose effective resources, how to get students motivated to participate and learn, how to create an effective learning environment, and how to successfully manage students. This book is an absolute must have for any classroom educator!!

I am a vocation education teacher for adult learners. I've been teaching for over ten years. I have no formal teaching degree, but a lot of practical experience and knowledge. This book allowed me to implement useful teaching strategies immediately. It is a great book, nicely organized and packed with practical get-to-the point information. I bet for all of the formal lessons teachers get in college, it doesn't include some of the practical information in this book. I highly recommend it.
