I was surprised how good this book was. There were a few errors with the book (I counted 4), but most of them were typos. The book provides a good history and background about the Supreme Court, the Chief Justices, and then some notable Justices. After that, the author shows how the Supreme Court affects peoples' lives by examining a variety of court cases. Reading some...

This book is interesting and presents good information, but there are way too many typographical errors -- many more than the four that another reviewer mentioned. They distract from the professionalism that a book about the Supreme Court should have. Try Supreme Court for Dummies instead.

I was surprised how good this book was. There were a few errors with the book (I counted 4), but most of them were typos. The book provides a good history and background about the Supreme Court, the Chief Justices, and then some notable Justices. After that, the author shows how the Supreme Court affects peoples' lives by examining a variety of court cases. Reading some of the opinions will put you to sleep. I have no problem recommending this book.
