5.0 out of 5 stars The only Vegan Baking book you'll ever need April 12, 2011
Format:Paperback
I can confidently say that this is the only vegan baking book you'll ever need in your cooking/baking book library. I've tried quite a few of the recipes and they have turned out delicious. They definitely don't taste like the vegan baked goods you find in stores. WAY better. The textures are perfect, the recipes are flawless and the author's helpful hints, tips and write-ups make you feel like a baking pro. I have a bunch of vegan friends where I live and I'm definitely passing the word around about this book.

Thank you for finally putting out a fantastic recipe book that brings vegan baked goods to a whole new and delicious level.

I'm sure that the review above me with the one star meant to be 5 stars, considering their glowing review. :)

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Vegan Cooking! January 15, 2012
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
I bought this book when it first came out and have been very pleased with the outcome of all the recipes that I have tried. Most people that hear "vegan baking" think dry and tasteless. And to be honest, some recipes that I have made BEFORE getting this book are just that. THESE recipes are FAR from that, and the ones that I have tried taste as good as any regular recipe, but are healthier for you, which is a bonus!

The author, Donna Diegel, adds a nice description to each new chapter. The tips and notes that go along with the recipes are very helpful and add some tidbits that you might not have known.

What I like the most about this book is the fact that Donna has added all kinds of breads, rolls and pastries to round out the collection. Also included are Strudels, Turnovers, Tarts and Galettes; all of which will make your mouth water and you will be anxious to try them all. They are easy to understand and just as easy to bake.

I recommend this book to everyone. Long time vegan cooks as well as beginners, and non-vegan bakers as well. If you aren't Vegan, and just want to try a healthier type of baking, this is the book for you, too!

5.0 out of 5 stars Vegan baking at its best! December 5, 2011
By Liliana
Format:Paperback
This is the baking cookbook that vegans have been waiting for!

Donna, an experienced vegan baker, has written and tested over 150 delicious savoury and sweet vegan baking recipes using healthy ingredients that will appeal to both vegan and non-vegan palates.

I have made quite a few recipes with great success! The recipes are well written and easy to follow. One of my favourites is Mocha Cake. Made with a combination of chocolate and coffee, this is one moist, decadent cake.

I really recommend this cookbook. It is just not just a vegan baking book, but also a guide to healthier baking for everyone. It surely should be added to the baking section of anyone`s cookbook collection.
