What an odd little book. When purchasing this book, I expected it to be a bit outdated since it is now 4 years old. What I didn't expect was to receive a tutorial in Quicken 2000. This book's primary focus is not websites, but how to use Quicken to manage your personal finances. It really should be called The Idiot's Guide to Quicken 2000. Quicken is probably a fine program, (...) I thought I was buying a book that would lead me to websites, not lead my through a software program.For someone completely new to personal finance, one may be able to extract some fundamental principles which may make this book worthwhile. For someone like myself who is searching for useful websites and online research tools, this book falls flat. |
