I'm not quite at the top on the scale of intuition awareness, but now that I've completed this book I feel so much more aware and confident about my [already known] psychic abilities, and intuition. The book radiated knowledge in such an unscientific way that I personally favored. The verbiage, analogies, metaphors etc were nicely put to help you understand easily, esecially if you are a beginner. I loved this book, I couldn't put it down! I took it everywhere with me; it covers a wide range of inner psychic that makes you read for hours and leaving you anxiously enchanting the next chapter. You'll see implications in every chapter, mainly a couple sentences, that indicates you about what more chapters to come are about to keep you interested (great idea!). Don't be fooled by the Title, you are indeed not an Idiot, but this book has 'information boxes' to the sides of most pages describing certain words or 'psychic hotline' suggestions. All in all, I give this book a 10 on a scale from 1-10 for great character, portrayal, and enlightenment.

Since the last time I was here I hadn't read that much of it, but I've read more now. I havn't read ALL of it, but more to say that this is a VERY good book to own. It has a lot of motivational things to improve your life as well as gain psychic skills. These positive motives of love and tranquility for one's self come hand in hand with phychic abilities as it is all associated with positive energy or love. It seems you need to have hapiness and self love, etc, to accomplish phychic type abilities. It all has to do with emotions, love and caring for others. The authors writing are very much like this and give examples of caring for others and things. But anyway, it's a great book with a lot of content to improve your life in numerious ways. It also has a lot of exercises and encourges you to record information for your own benefit and improving the self. ALSO, it has examples of symbols such as mandalas and things. And, but not least, has coupons in the back of the book! Hot dog!!

Your internal GPS system is your best friend and this guidebook tells you how to work it from the basics. Don't be confused by the more elaborate New Age books out there when resources such as this exist. When you don't know where to start this can help you tune into your inner wisdom and navigate with it.

Interesting book. There are plenty of exercises to work through. It is well-written. I liked it. I thought there would be nothing for me to learn, and this book proved me wrong. The books with silly titles or the Idiot/Dummies titles have been real surprises. I have found most of them to be very well done.

The Idiot's Guide to Psychic Awareness is one of the better, more down-to-earth texts I've seen when it comes to New Age thinking, mysticism and simply how one goes about cultivating their Psychic potential. The more important aspect, at least for me, is that it seems to side-step a lot of the "Boogieman" elements and fantasiful idealism found in the majority of books & tapes addressing this challenge; authors that want to paint themselves as being "deep" and perhaps even "superior" to the rest of we mere mortals, forgetting the fact that we are all students, teachers & healers -- equals in every way.

All of us have a psychic-side, few of us realizing that it's really not as magickle as Hollywood, Folklore and fantasy writers make it out to be; it is quite natural, overly simplistic, and very much part of what makes us "Human". While some are born with a stronger sensitivity or awareness when it comes to such things, it is a trait that can be learned and this book offers some very simple steps by which this can be accomplished, emphasizing the fact that you are merely learning how to listen to your intuitive side vs. the logic-oriented mind that's so strongly promoted within current society.

I don't completely agree with things shared in this tome, but I do give it a big thumbs up.

This book is jam-packed with very useful exercises to do and loads of references and suggestions about other books. Now that I have read this, I can't wait to start reading the Seth Speaks books! The techniques in this book do work, but only if you devote the time that you need to develop your skills.

The technique that worked very well for me was going into a meditative state, then saying to myself, "I am now going into a trance," then counting to 10 and bringing myself to a deeper level, then from there, saying to myself, "My psychic abilities improve everyday. I am becoming more balanced and filled with joy." I felt much better after each time I did this.

The only complaint I had was the chapter that dealt with out-of-body experiences was not very thorough and did not give much useful information. It pretty much gave the impression, "Well, why not give it a try?" After I read William Buhlman's book Adventures Beyond The Body, I know that this is far more important than just "giving it a try." It is an entirely life-changing experience. But I understand that this is not an out-of-body book, so maybe I shouldn't complain.

Other than that, this book has been very useful and helpful and I am glad I bought it and would definitely recomment it others.

I found this book to be very mind opening and helpful. One of the ways I found it helpful was in the section on hypnois, I am going to use the self hynois excerize to stop smoking.

I have this book.. havn't read it all through but just small amounts (I just barely got it). It's pretty good from what I've read and such, is packed w/ info and seems to be accurate info instead of just some crap to entertain people. It's correct about Ouija boards on how you shouldn't mess w/ them at all depending on how you're going to use it, should only be used by a "good" person and not a n00ber because it can attract evil or mischievous spirits depending. It's written by two lady's and revised by another, also I read in the front that there were others involved in the process. The two main authors hold years of experiance so it's good. I would give it 5 stars but I havn't read it all through so it get's 4 for now.
