Virtuoso Tom Hanway's first book is a remarkable collection of tunes, techniques, exercises, variations and (thanks to it's extensively researched glossary) enlightening definitions. Thankfully, the tablature is clear and readable (though a bit blocky). The tunes are organized into categories such as jigs, reels & hornpipes and, happily for me, _North_American_ Celtic tunes; even a Tom Hanway original or two thrown in! Celtophilic Banjomaniacs rejoice!
