My Life's Little Victory!,
This review is from: The Complete K Chronicles (Paperback)
As a huge fan of Mr. Knight's work, I was first in line to order a copy of the Complete K Chronicles. Indeed it is a huge tome, almost as thick as my phonebook, and almost as funny. Collecting the first four collections of the K-Chronicles, the CK also offers up personal notes and sidebars for alot of the strips that help give some insight into the twisted world of its creator. Its nice to have all of my favorite strips in one handy and heavy book, along with some much apreciated peaks into Mr. Knight's sketch book. The only complaint I might have is that I would have liked to seen more commentary about the strips, but the work really speaks for itself. Funny, edgy, real, funny, original, and more than a little erotic. What more could you ask for?
I can't wait to see what type of work Keef's son produces after his dad forces him into cartooning.

This was the best present my husband could have gotten. He has loved K Chronicles for years, and this book was worth every penny, if not even more pennies. Thank you for putting out the complete works!

Been following Knight for a few years, but haven't really been able to be consistent about it.
As good as "The Knight Life" is (his major syndicated strip)"The K Chronicles" is where it's at as far as I'm concerned. This book has all the favorites "Ah jeeze, not the giant soda can again" and much of the stuff I've missed. was fun to see the Harvey Pekar intro, especially as the fellow just passed away this year. Day two I am about 300 pages into it. Content was/is great. Only quibble was the pages started falling out pretty much as soon as I started reading. Am getting Amazon to send me another copy, hopefully the binding is a little better with the next one.

I have been a fan of Keith Knight for years, and his humor is wise, and kind, yet incisive. What can I say? BUY THIS BOOK. You'll be sore from laughing before you get halfway through it.

...and that's just the start for Keith Knight's comics...,

This review is from: The Complete K Chronicles (Paperback)
This book collects the first 4 "K Chronicles" books, reprinted large and many with commentary from the cartoonist, plus a foreword from Kyle Baker. This is not only a great collection for long-time fans of Keith Knight, but also a great introductory book for newer fans as well.
Of course, there's more to Keith Knight than this book. He does two other comic strips, "(th)ink," a political single panel comic and "Knight Life," which is basically a daily version of his weekly strip that's running in papers across America. So if you've just started reading Keef's work, check this book out. If you've been following his work for years, check it out anyway.

All of the sixty years of the K Chronicles drawn by Keith Knight. K Chronicles are the story of Mr. Knight, a good man who shows his humanity through Boston, SF and finally LA.
A new daily strip is being drawn by Mr. Knight, "The Knight Life." It is not about the days of chivalry. Do not think that you can read this in one night. It is a thick book and would be hard to read in bed. And too hard to be a pillow.

A magnificent Kompendium of Keef,

This book is a delight. You'll laugh, you'll think, and most of all, you'll keep turning pages. I'm getting multiple copies to give to my traveling friends, who suffer through long layovers on planes and long rides on trains. They'll love it.
But they can't have my copy, huh-uh. And nobody gets to borrow it, either. So don't ask. It's the Kwintessence of Keeftoons...

A great collection for those who want it all in one place,

I was surprised when I came across this book, because I have all of the individual books, including his "(th)ink" collection. For those who don't know much about Keith, let me just say that he is as individual a guy as you'll find: artist, satirist, rapper, etc. To get his entire collection in one place for such a great price is nothing to sneeze at.
If you are familiar with Harvey Pekar's "American Splender," McGruder's "Boondocks", or even "Candorville," you will love this collection. His wit, insight, and anecdotes make this the perfect collection for a person with even a mild interest in a good comic strip collection.

I had a bit of an idea what to expect when I ordered this collection. Who knew it would exceed my wildest expectations!!! I've seen a bunch of these strips over the years and I still laughed out loud (a lot) after reading them again. I love love LOVE the larger format...it makes for much easier reading for us old-timers and there are some details I missed in the individual books but get to enjoy now. Keith loves what he does and it shines brightly through here. More artist commentary would be wonderful and hardcover would be amazing!

Keef does a great job when he tones down his ultra left wing rants and raves. His daily life and friends offer his best ideas for his comics. I especially like his looks at his family and twin sister, VERY funny.
