About the Author

Leigh Toselli has over 25 years experience in the fashion and beauty industry. She started out as a model, soon developing an interest in fashion design. While modelling, Leigh cemented a career as freelance make-up artist, stylist and fashion co-ordinator, working for a variety of magazines and large retail companies. She has been the beauty editor for Femina, Elle and Pace magazines, and Make-up Director and Head of Department on SA Fashion Week. In 2000, Leigh conceptualized and launched a quarterly beauty publication, GLOSS. She continues to freelance as beauty editor and stylist for the South African editions of Oprah, Longevity, FHM and Elle magazines. I've gone through lots and lots of makeup books and this one actually goes into more detail about skincare and application than a lot of the other books. I was pleasantly surprised since it's so inexpensive. I hate when I get a makeup book in the mail and there's not as much information as expected. It's not for 'experts' who already know everything, but I consider myself pretty informed and there was a lot covered in this book that I hadn't read elsewhere.
