My dad introduced me to the music of McKinley Mitchell when I was just a young boy. He would have me spin blues records while he sat in his favorite chair and sang along. In my mind I can still see my dad kicked back and just enjoying the music; he would be singing laughing and sharing memories of his young days growing up in Mississippi and living in Milwaukee working as bartender or playing in his own band.
End of the rainbow was one of his favorite tunes sang so so well by Mr McKinley Mitchell. Its one of my all time favorite tunes too, followed by The town I live in. If you know anything about the blues, southern soul music or soul music period then you will definitely love this album. Buy the album, then come back and leave your review. Enjoy.
