The Complete Musical Spanish: Learn Through Pop Music set (which includes Book, CD-ROM, Cassette, and Audio CD Set) is to be especially commended for its unusual format and approach, which provides over 50 lessons based on 10 songs. Spanish grammar becomes easy when set to activities, quizzes and music: a cd/cd-rom and booklet provide simple lessons designed to help students learn Spanish quickly. Songs are no slouches but are widely recognized, popular tunes like La Bamba. The Complete Musical Spanish is enthusiastically recommended for Spanish Language studies from beginners to advanced.

Finally an idea whose time has come...what better way to learn a language than through music and song. Having been an ESL teacher and personally seen the power of music in the classroom, I think this is a brilliant idea and beautifully presented. Each song is thoroughly examined in terms of its grammatical elements. All these elements are clearly delineated in each chapter. It's amazing how much you can learn from one song. For example in "Cielito Lindo" we are introduced to 12 different verbs, not to mention question words, adjectives, nouns, clarifiers and so on. For years, I've been singing along to many of these songs. Now, for the first time I know what I'm singing about, and I am beginning to understand how the different elements of the Spanish language work together. I just hope this is the beginning and there are more musical Spanish books to follow.

I simply have a hard time expressing with words how much I like this course.
I am a beginner at learning Spanish (1yr), but I've worked very hard at it.
This course truly has helped me understand many things that I just didn't
understand before purchasing Musical Spanish. The instructor quickly and
clearly helps you to lace and tie your boots so to speak. I am just so
impressed. I'm not saying that this is the only tool you will ever need, but
it sure is one that I want in my tool box!
