After reading the original Oz book to my grandchildren, I can tell you that in spite of their age and style, these great old stories still captivate children.
My only reservation to these volumes is that in order to cram so much of the original material into only three books, the publisher has employed a very dense format and a relatively small typeface. If a child will be doing the reading, this should not be a problem, as it might be for a myopic older adult, such as myself, reading to the children. |
