THIS IS SUCH A GREAT BOOK!!! I have always loved pigs and this book told me all these interesting facts. I have always loved the movie "Babe" and it is nice to know there are people out there that like pigs too. My friends who is obsessed about pigs liked this book too.

I collect anything with pigs and when I saw this book, I knew I had to purchase it. It has tons of very intersting articles as well as fun facts and adorable pictures. Whether you are a pig collector like myself or are just interested, this is the book for you. I give it a %110 and beyond.

I don't mean to imply this was meant to be a comedy, or was foolish I am just very amused by pigs. My 12 year old daughter received what was supposed to be a pot bellied pig for her birthday from her older sister last year but unscrupulous farmer sold her what is clearly a full sized production hog. The pig is much to big and needs to find another home, but will never leave having made herself part of the family.

Actually, I hate pearls and love pigs!
In fact, I've never met a pig I didn't like. Call it pork, ham, bacon, sausage, lechón, tostón, cochon, barbecued ribs, zhu rou, carnitas, cochinita, prosciutto, sanglier, cinghiale, kielbasa, jabugo, guijuelo, bratwurst, Porky, Arnold, Salomey, Old Major, Napoleon, Snowball, Squealer, Piglet, Babe, Pumba, Razorback, Hamm, Wilbur, Vanz (kant dance), Fifer, Fiddler, Practical, or Miss Piggy, I love it! Pearls, on the other hand, I can't even look at them, let alone touch one!

As for the book, it's beautiful, has lots of interesting information, lush photos and funny hog memorabilia. Makes a great gift; the PORKfect coffeetable book for the pig lover in you, or for ultimate boars like me.

I purchased two books on Amazon at the same time, hoping to learn practical information about raising pigs: (1) The Complete Pig, and (2) Storey's Guide to Raising Pigs. I wasted my money on The Complete Pig. It does have a lot of cute photos and some interesting pig stories, but it has virtually no practical information. On the other hand, Storey's Guide to Raising Pigs was outstanding.
