I originally purchased this book with the intention of learning how to play the piano - probably not the best strategy (I realize). The first month or so was awkward, with little to show for my hard work. But it was enough exposure to become addicted to Chopin's nocturnes and playing the piano, in general. It has now been a little over a year, and I can entertain my wife with half a dozen of the pieces. There are at least another dozen songs I some day hope to learn. I forsee myself picking up this book on a daily basis for years to come, it's that good. Perhaps some day I will yearn for more.. maybe.. Or perhaps this is all I really ever need?! Best investment ever? It's up there.

I am glad I got this set of Chopin. It would get a 5 star review, however, if it had a spiral binding as the pages are hard to keep open.

Chopin's piano compositions are masterful works of creativity. My wife who is the accomplished pianist in our family wanted this collection to choose pieces to play. Chopin is her favorite classical composer.

a good investment for those who like Chopin. A nice addition to the piano library. The size of the notes are just right, cleary printed and adequately spaced with dynamics and details written on the staffs.

i've never thought getting this would be beneficial since there are tons of free resource on the net, but i was wrong. better arrangement, more detail, it's just better for learning and playing. again i'm an beginner, but i like this book so much. chopin all the way!

The book is for advanced piano players. I bought as a gift, but the recipient needs to practice for a long time before he can actually play the notes!
