This book looked to be the definitive Pro Tools tome, but falls FAR short. Some good stuff on MIDI setup and recording, but only half a page on mixing techniques? Uh, ok.

Lots of diagrams of HD, MIX and other big rig setups, but who cares? Folks that own that kind of gear already know how to set up and get maximum performance from their equipment.

Should have spent more time on the 002, 001, and MBox. If you own one of those systems don't waste your time with this book.

What a great book!!!!!!!!!!! I own at least 4 books on pro tools and I ALWAYS come back to this one. This is an amazing book for the beginner/intermediate user. TRUST ME. I have all the power and pro-tools for dummies books and this one is SOOO much easier to follow. You won't be disappointed!!!!

I found this book to be a great reference book to have even though I am a Pro Tools instructor. It has everything for the beginer and for the more advanced user, which makes it a real bible then!
Everything is clearly written, with great illustration that make it the simplest thing to read for this kind of books.
As far as teaching pro tools, I find it's the best book to recommend to my students, and always had great feedback about it.
It is, to me, the best of the lot in the pro tools books, the most clear, and also the fun one, you can see that M. Valenzuela wrote this with humor and no pretention at all!

I was really pleased with the service I got from Amazon and the sellers of the book. It actually look new even though they sold it as used. Amazon rating system is really concrete. Amazon may have just become my virtual mall. Sweet!
