5.0 out of 5 stars The Best Book on Camera Raw Processing, April 6, 2008
This review is from: The Complete Raw Workflow Guide: How to get the most from your raw images in Adobe Camera Raw, Lightroom, Photoshop, and Elements (Paperback)
I my humble opinion, this is the best book on understanding Camera Raw processing and gaining the hands on experience in a user friendly way.

Why? The book is written in plain straight forward English, with plenty of screen shots pertaining to the application interfaces. The layout of the book is very user friendly. Unlike many other instructional books, the pictures here are large enough to easily see all the details. The book is divided logically into independent chapters regarding both the hands on process and the more in detail background information. You can focus on those chapters you are interested in, or just read the book from A to Z.

I checked and bought several books on this subject and The Complete Raw Workflow Guide is clearly the winner!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great book., November 20, 2009

This review is from: The Complete Raw Workflow Guide: How to get the most from your raw images in Adobe Camera Raw, Lightroom, Photoshop, and Elements (Paperback)
I am an amateur photographer and have been shooting in raw for over a year now. I think this has to be the best book on Camera Raw I have seen to date. The author not only discusses the actual application of Camera Raw, but also talks about setting up your workflow, camera(not brand specific), and how to take better pictures while set up to shoot raw. The chapters are in-depth and full of useful information you would actually use on a regular basis. He also touches on some often overlooked aspects such as the best way to download your raw images, organize them and protect them. No book on Camera Raw would be complete without a chapter on Lightroom, but it's not overdone and keeps the focus on Camera Raw. Another nice feature of this book is the addition of a chapter for editing pictures in Photoshop including photo restoration. Overall, I would highly recommend this book for anyone who would like to take their photography to a new level via post processing.

5.0 out of 5 stars THE BEST Book on Camera Raw, June 9, 2009
This review is from: The Complete Raw Workflow Guide: How to get the most from your raw images in Adobe Camera Raw, Lightroom, Photoshop, and Elements (Paperback)
When writing "Stoppees' Guide to Photography & Light" I had a great deal of research to do for the chapter on camera raw. I would have LOVED to have this book. Philip Andrews has done an excellent job. The depth of his exploration on the topic fully deserves the name "Complete." If you're new to this and starting with Photoshop Elements, Philip has you covered. If you're a long-time Photoshop Extended user, Mr. Andrews has plenty to share with you as well. From one author to another, "There Cheers" (if not four or five)!
