The best of her genere, Lucille Hegiman was the best of the country blues torch singers of the 20's. She was often backed by some of the best jazzmen of the 20's. This cd comes highly recommeded especially if you like Bessie Smith, Victoria Spivey, Sippie Wallace, and so on...
