Worthwhile purchase,

If you are thinking of running Linux on your computer, I definitely recommend this product. The CD-ROMs that are included give you what you need to install, and there are loads of other goodies. The documentation is much easier to go through than the help files online are.

I am new to Linux, and Red Hat is my first Linux. The installation from the box is easy to use, and the book is written in simple language. But it doesn't explain everything, like why certain process work. I'll still recommand this setup for anyone new to Linux but prepare to spend more money on other text.

Includes everything you will need to set up and install RH Linux 5.1. Installation guide is incomplete. It says virtually nothing on how to configure a modem. The book is mediocre. CDs are great. Some of the progs on the CDs, however, are out dated.
