I have been leading teaching and training in large churches in the area of marriage relationships for over 20 years. I have found the Parrot books to be very helpful and simple to use and understand. Sometimes they are perfect as they stand, other times I add to them, either way they offer a great road map for a marriage ministry. We recently embraced their Marriage Mentoring program. It gave a very helpful way for me as a leader to help lay leaders implement a marriage mentoring program in our church. In response to the previous review regarding Les Parrott, we have brought the Parrott's in for two seminars over the years and have found them to be delightful, authentic, and very enjoyable. Our people appreciated both of the seminars.

I have met Mr. Parrot and find him to be out of touch with people. He is more concerned about his image and making money by putting out more books. In person he is cold. But I'm sure that is probably just my experience. However, when you visit a church and try to sell books, it seems that being warm and personable would be the way to go. I'm sure that he must have friends who find him a nice guy.
More objectively: His books are shallow. They do not deliver what they promise. I would not waste your money.
