I have this book, I have probably spent dozens of hours studying it. (I would not part with it for any price.) THE DEFINITIVE BOOK on this line!!! You MUST buy this book if you play EITHER side of this opening in tournament chess! INDISPENSIBLE for serious postal players!! WARNING: This is NOT a teaching book, but for the serious player who already knows how to play this line and wants to really plumb its depths!

Since 1980 American players have been waiting for a comprehensive book on the most common Super Grandmaster Opening in chess today. This book is big and covers everything! Common lines to hardly ever seen methods. If you use e4 or play the Sicilian this book is manditory!

If you play the classical Open Sicilian as Black, most likely you will end up in the Rauzer; if you do, this is the guide to have. It is a survey and not a repertoire book, making it particularly suitable for correspondence players. Statistically, the Rauzer and the Najdorf are Black's main weapons against 1.e4; you should probably learn one of them at least.
