Complete Sirius Satellite Radio System for Satellite Ready ALPINE Receivers KCA-SC100 + SCC1

I have coupled this set-up to an Alpine iDA-X305S. Setup was a snap with the supplied Ai-Net cable.

My only beef is with the subscription service... I already pay for premium service (~$190/year) for another vehicle, and Sirius wants another $140.00. Yikes. Sound is as what you would expect from a satellite service... clear when no weather coverage and 01010101 100 101010 001 1010 (that's my take on binary code) with overcast or dense tree canopies.

I also purchased Alpine's HD Tuner (TUA-T550HD), sound is just as good for FREE, with no drop out (so far).

If you don't want as many commercials or a very rural to an urban metropolitan then go for the Sat set-up.

This is a must have item if you have a alpine radio. It is expensive, but its nice to have everything working off the unit itself rather than a ugly add on.

I have been using sirius for 3 or 4 years now and I recently changed out my head unit to an Alpine CDA-105. The thought of having to rely on an FM modulated signal is just something I want to stay away from The sound quality isn't anything close to what the SC100+ SCC1 can produce. If you like only the best, and your using an Alpine, then you don't really have much of a choice but to go with this unit. I have read several reviews that slam this setup, why, I do not know as I have had no problems whatsoever. I will post in the future should I run into any difficulties, but from where I sit right now, you can't go wrong if you want the best of Sirius radio.
