Almost as Good as The Earlier Edition,

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Complete Secretary's Handbook (Hardcover)
This edition is very good and I'm glad I bought it. I would absolutely not buy it brand new for $95. The earlier edition from the 70's is actually better. You can find the irregular verbs more easily in the earlier edition. There are more of the words that people find confusing such as further/farther, who/whom, affect/effect in earlier edition.
This newest edition is too expensive at $95 and used copies of the earlier edition are readily available. Not much has changed since the 1970s. They point out how to use Mr., Mrs. & Ms. That was in the 70s. Ms. is the preferred form of address for a woman. It doesn't denote her marital status just as Mr. does not denote a man's marital status. Women deserve the same respect.

Great Reference!,

I thought the book was very helpful and had a lot of useful information. In fact, I sat at home on a Friday night with my highlighter marking information I could put to use on Monday! The Quick-Reference Guide to Facts and Figures is my favorite part.
