While the construction methods given are old-fashioned, this book is full of marvleous examples and ideas for creating your own Seminole Patchwork designs. Beverly Rush gives easy-to-understand instructions, plenty of background material, and a super foundation for taking this technique in many different directions. The photos of her work are very inspiring - I bought it because of the inside back cover illustrations, but now it's my favorite book on the subject. Definitely a must-have for anyone interested in the topic.

I bought the book for a friend of mine who has taken up patchwork quilting. I'd seen what the Seminole ladies do with patchwork and was mightily impressed.

My only difficulty with the illustrations. Most are black and white. I suppose the publisher was concerned with costs, but it is a loss, since as the jacket design shows, Seminoles use color brilliantly. Otherwise it's an excellent work. If you're interested in doing Seminole style patchwork, this is the book for you.

The vendor I bought it from was lovely. She shipped ontime, and added a small note. I was terribly impressed and pleased.
