This review is from: Complete Songs for Voice and Piano (Dover Song Collections) (Paperback)
Duparc only wrote these 17 songs, and spent the rest of his life rewriting them. And sadly he destroyed a lot of his work in his insanity. These are the songs he deemed worthy of sparing. And every one is a masterpiece. This is a great edition, especially for the price. Some of the music seems rather squashed together, but for the most part its easy to read. There are full translations at the start of the book as well as information about the French musical direction. All up, a great buy!
