This "box set" (it's actually three separate CD's in a slipcase without any special booklets or materials) contains all three Sugarcubes studio releases in a convenient package. The albums, however, are the UK versions so Life's Too Good doesn't contain any of the bonus tracks that are included in the US edition.

So, if you are just starting to explore the Sugarcubes, I recommend picking up the American version of Life's Too Good first. Completists and collectors, on the other hand, will appreciate the opportunity to obtain the UK albums in a value priced limited edition set.

3.5 stars overall (Life's Too Good is a 5 star record, by the way).

Ordered this for my son who is an ambitious guitarist, singer, songwriter (-> "Grilled Elephant" aka Red Hot Chili Peppers for the Poors, "The Peppermint Tea Group").
He first must have heard Björk in 1995 when I listened to her solo album "Post" over and over again. Don't ask me how a sensible father could possibly expose his 6-year old to a music like that. To cut a long story short: guess what I hear over and over out of my son's room? - The Sugarcubes. Not a bad parenting job? Eeeh?

The band that gave us Bjork. This is a box set which includes the Sugarcubes 3 albums Life's Too Good, Here Today, Tomorrow Next Week! and Stick around for Joy.

The box set includes the full albums filled with the bands most popular songs such as Birthday and Hit. Value wise this is probably the best around.

Personally I have always preferred the early Bjork to her later stuff (Even with the weirdo rapping on some of them) There was more of an 'indie/free jazz' feel to it, tighter music and less experimenting into the frankly bizarre (Ever remember the comedian Dawn French with her "101 uses for a Bjork"?)
