BRENT B. WELCH is senior web engineer at Scriptics Corp., and a former software engineer at Sun Microsystems and Xerox PARC. He has served on the Tcl/Tk development team at each company.

The CD got me up and started with TCL quickly. The Welch book is excellent. There is a newer edition of the Welch book now that came out shortly after I bought this book. The book contains a lot of useful reference material.

Welch's always writes in a very understanding manner. His other book on Practical Programming in TCl and TK is also very good.
