An upstanding Jun Senoue fan,

After Sonic Heroes was releases, I purchased it, and played away. Then, realizing my music collection was in dire need of some more of Jun's work since "Multi-Dimensional: Sonic Adventure 2" was released. I rushed out and ordered it; after playing it, I realized Jun Senoue and company hit another home run.
The album plays out very similarly to how the game unfolds: the level music is chronological, and several "events" are added in between. I was expecting to be disappointed with this setup, but I was wrong: the transitions were fluid, yet each song, when seperated, is very concisely not the same electronic mish-mash, found on your average videogame album. Jun Senoue Really runs the show, and he really displays his talents. First, nearly every song has a guitar part in it... and when its a guitar part, it's not sissy synth either; Jun's an awesome guitarist and it shows with the way he glides and plays so perfectly... so at ease with every song. He also did many of the keyboard parts, and works alongside Fumie Kumatani (a goddess of electronic music, in her own right) in a couple. A few other fresh faces adorn this album, and their work flows perfectly in the Jun dominant field. This album displays also the great variety that is normally missing from VG music. It goes from a light, sunny rock, to electronic pieces that get you bumpin', to chunky riffy tracks... and more. Here, in this album, you can find at least one song that can catch you. Also, not to be last by any means, you can hear some of the latest creations by Jun's side project "Crush 40," which features the stunning ad spine-tingling vocals of Johnny Gioeli alongside Jun's signature eighties power-rock playing. If you want an album that won't put you to sleep, tells a story and really just is all around great for anyone... check this one out. Lot's of replay value, and frankly, was the best bang-for-my-buck, musically.

I got Sonic Heroes the very first day it came out for Xbox. I was a little disapointed that each team does the same levels (though a bit different with each), I still likes the soundtrack it had going. With the good-guy songs staying their usual tune, Team Dark - This Machine sounds more like a late 80s or early 90s rock band. Though I still haven't gotten to the end of the game (sadly -_-', I haven't had time) I stay a true Sonic fan and try to figure out what the deal is with Shadow before I finish. I give the soundtrack a thums up.

I have heard all the songs of this game, but I was only able to because I have played and beat the game before. The Compete Trinity verison of Sonic Heroes have pretty much everything on the real game and as a added bouns you can get to listen to 3 exclusive extras in the game, However the major flaw about this CD is, of course, the price.
You may have 19 extra tracks on this CD than the Orginal, but the price is to some people is way to high. (in fact the cost is the almost the same as the videogame) This CD is good for anyone who is not interested in the game, but just listen to the music and listening to the extras on this CD.

When I first played Sonic Heroes, I payed a lot more attention to the music than the game. (which might explain my lack of lives) Especially Power Plant and Bingo Highway's songs. So I figured I'd get this CD for the fact it had those songs and What I'm Made of on it. But I should've figured on more. The songs are awesome and they give you a lyrics book. And the best songs under "What I'm Made of" are the Bingo Highway and Casino Park remixes at the end of CD2! They sound all techoney and cool and it makes you remember Sonic rolling off the edge while Tails and Knuckles kept going... and then accidentally switching to Sonic and dying... so anyway, get this CD and add it to your collection ^^
