This fat and calorie guide is written in an extremely user-friendly format and has listings of food that I didn't even know exsisted! Karen Bellerson even maps out a "fat budget" formula to let the reader know how many daily fat grams they should have in their diets. I love being able to keep track of the fat and calories in my food in such a fun and easy...

Gosh, my first impression about seeing this book was "How many calorie counting references does one need?"

The book could be useful for a "nutrition library"

I just happen to have 2 books in the "Eat This, Not That" series.

This book is very organized and offers a lot of useful information. This book will definitely be used if purchased. It's easy to read and understand. I highly recommend the Fat Book. My sister and my Mom have this book, too. This book not only gives you fat and calories, but it also includes the percentage of fat to calories which is very important to your diet.

This book helped me lose 30 pounds after both of my children. It gives you everything you need to keep track of your food intake. I logged my food every day using this book and lost the weight. Easy to navigate and includes nearly everything you eat!!

I LOVED THIS BOOK, I PRACTICALLY LIVE BY IT. THE BOOK TELLS ME HOW MUCH FAT AND CALORIES AND CARBOHYDRATES ARE IN EVERY FAST FOOD IMAGINABLE.

What more can I say...I lost 50 lbs by following the rules set in the front of the book. Then by counting calories and FAT grams, was able to monitor my Fat/caloric intake by using this book.

I have the first edition of this book and have continually referred to it over the years. One reviewer here noted that fat content isn't differentiated into type (mono, saturated, etc.). That's true but I believe the focus of this book is to provide total fat and caloric values for weight loss purposes. Thus, the type of fat isn't so important since too much of any type of fat will increase body weight. If you want that sort of information, buy a different book. However, the Fat Bible would be a better reference book if there was other nutritional values included, i.e., carbs, protein, etc. That's why I rated it 4-stars. Still, I've just added the newly revised 4th edition to my cart, as my old copy is worn and no doubt out of date (pub. 1991). I recommend the Fat Book for anyone serious about ongoing weight control.

Anyone who wonders why they can't lose weight should keep a food diary for one week using the information in this book. You'll be amazed at the fat grams and calories hiding in foods we think are healthy.
