If you are planning to go to Walt Disney World I highly recommend that you purchase this book. It doesn't matter if this is your first visit or 100th. I love that this book has tons and tons of pictures, and reviews every single attraction and resort at Walt Disney World. I bought this book last month because my husband and I are planning to go back this fall; we visited WDW last July. This book gave us so much information we didn't know when we went last time. Even for the ratings that I disagreed with, the authors give each item enough information that you can judge for yourself if it's something you'll want to see when you get there. They also give tips on what to pack and what to wear as well as new attractions that will be coming this year. This guide is excellent.

I've been called a Disney geek, a Disney buff or Mr. Disney (some meant to be complimentary, some not) and I have to tell you that this is one of the best WDW books I've seen. The pictures are outstanding and, with the attached descriptions, the panorama is complete. I love this book. I don't know how the authors got some of the pictures that they did. They're obviously taken outside of normal parks hours or at "low attendance" times. It's great to be able to show non-Disneyphiles what you are talking about in such vibrant color. A great book.

I use this as a companion to the Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World. This is a quick reference with great pictures but it lacks the money-saving tips you'll find in the Unofficial Guide.

Packed with information but the thing that made me purchase this book was for my kids. It has more pictures of the rides and things they'll see when you get to Disney. Awesome display of photos! Really. I did purchase a few other books that were much better for just plain Disney information (with maps and stuff). Those books I used throughout the trip to plan what we were going to do and they gave lots of great tips that we used. But this book, my kids used the whole time to look through and get an idea of what they wanted to ride and stuff. It is a good book to bring back memories from our trip too since there are pictures of most of the rides and stuff that we saw. Of course the other books helped us adults get a much better handle on how to tackle Disney, but this one kept my kids excited over the trip. Very highly recommended if you have the cash to get a few books. If you can only get one book and need help tackling Disney (with kids) and don't care about not having pictures then go for either The Unofficial guide to Walt Disney World with Kids 2012 (Bob Sehlinger) or Kim Wright Wiley's Walt Disney World with Kids 2012. Neither has pictures...just a lot of good information for the adults.

But this book (The Complete Walt Disney World 2012) has it's advantages by keeping the kids attention during your trip, and I am enjoying looking through the book now (post trip) since I'm not in stress mode anymore (trying to plan a Disney trip) and I can just relax and enjoy reading through it and looking at the photos. Will probably continue to go through this book until our next trip. I don't plan on giving this book to goodwill anytime soon...and that says alot. Usually the books I read get passed on...to someone else or to goodwill.

after getting several guidebooks about Disney World over the past few years, I have to admit that "The Complete Walt Disney World" lives up to its title. first off, the pictures are outstanding. in addition to fully immersing you in whatever they're describing, the pictures also serve as a little "retreat" for those who can't wait to get to Florida. the coloring and editing of the pics have a special quality that transports you there. but it's not just a picture book... the guide has some of the most accurate descriptions of rides, restaurants, parks, hotels, and more. they're honest in their assessment without being scathing. (and the authors don't make you feel silly in case you respectfully disagree with their opinions either, which is nice). the layout of the book is easy to read and navigate, which is helped by the colors and boxes and such. I now wonder why I waited so long to get this particular guidebook, but if you are just beginning to collect yours... this one is a MUST - you won't be disappointed.

Great book & guideline for families with small children who desire to make their stay at WDW fun and as stress free as possible for all members of the family. Details regarding many attractions are helpful,,,appropriateness for small children, how the ride loads & how many a 'car' seats, etc. Book is well organized & the index is great for leading one to the part of the book that will answer your question. The book is also small enough to bring along with you to various theme parks of WDW. We used it to find restaurants that are child friendly & menu healthy as well as the nearest to our current location in a Park. It provided best options each time. Without it we would have been guessing where to have lunch & perhaps walking too far or retracing our steps & tiring everyone in the group. Larger book on same subject doesn't equal better or more information. Great book! Julie

This is the third guide I have purchased (I am really excited about our trip!). The first two were filled with facts and are good. This one is really what I was looking for.

The book is full color with slick pages. It has pictures of everything! It is divided it to clear easy to find sections and has reviews with honest pros and cons of everything from attractions to dinning and hotels. Each one is given a star rating which is easy to look at for a quick glance. There are sections under each review with headings that give excellent descriptions and facts as to why they gave the rating.

I would highly recommend this as a guide and a keepsake.

If you just like to own a bunch of Disney World guide books like I do, or you are looking for a guide book with updated info and photos every year then this is your book. I have bought this guide every year since 2010 and have yet to be let down. Julie and Mike do an AWESOME job with each edition. Changing the information, and photos with every new release. That takes a lot of work and dedication. The 2013 version is up for pre order and will be out in a few short days and I can't wait to check it out! This is on the top for must have Disney World guide books out there.

This is one of my two favorite Disney guidebooks, and I'm glad to see that an updated 2013 version will be available next month (so wait and purchase after the new version is released, if you can - there are a lot of updates for this round). The highlight of this guidebook is the photography. I have others that I prefer for travel tips and detailed information. But The Complete Walt Disney World is my go-to guidebook for working with children to decide what attractions and experiences are must-do. The attraction descriptions and photos help bring these options to life.

I am a person who always buys the typical souvenir book from the place I am visiting. Sadly, Walt Disney World did not have this kind of souvenir book, just DVD's. Thanks to Amazon I could buy this book which I totally recommend to those who love to collect souvenir books as myself! It gives a brief but detailed description of every single attraction of every single Disney Park and each one of them has at least 1 picture to show (some have more)! Plus, it also hives you information as a guide book of the restaurants, hotels, etc. What else could we ask for?!
