In my search for music for my daughter's wedding, this CD was one of my favorites. The selections ranged from classical to more modern selections. The music in these CD's is organized by types of ensembles and suggestions are given for appropriate placement in your wedding ceremony.

I already have this cd (i played it for a cousin's wedding) and it's songs were perfectly fit to the occasion. Bach's genius and Campra's creativity express themselves through the music played by the ensembles. Truly, it is romantic and appropriate. If you are a lover of classical music and you want love to show through it, this is the CD for you.

I have listened to many and none so far compare to this lovely collection.

However the "Classical Wedding Traditions" CD (from amazon.com) was absolutely the best classical CD I purchased for my wedding.

I used this cd to help me plan which songs I wanted to use for each part of the wedding. This cd helps you suggest the placement for the prelude, processional, ceremony and recessional. The cd mainly has classical songs, but it does have a few of "today's" songs. There could have been a few more songs they could have added. But overall, its a good cd.

I really like this CD set, the only thing that I didn't see nessecary was that some of the same selections are on both CD's. Other than that is gives a wide variety, including popular pieces. I also like how the selections are arranged on the CD. They did a great job of placing selections that sound vary similar or are commonly confused with one another next to each other on the CD. Very helpful!
My fiance, who has a dergee in music was even impressed! I am sure that we will be listening to this CD set after we are married.

Highly recommended. Even has suggestions for pre-ceremony, processional, ceremony, and recessional inside. 2 different versions of Midsummer Night's Dream march included - one with trumpet and organ and one with a full orchestra. Lots of great selections, well recorded.

We had an outdoor wedding and used this CD, along with one other CD (The Knot Collection), for our music selections. Between the two CDs - we had all of our pre-wedding music and our processionals covered. It has a nice selection of various, popular choices for modern and classic weddings.

Some of the most beautiful music. Too bad we don't hear it more often than at weddings.

I bought this as well as Classical Wedding. I thought I would find a lot more songs on this CD since it was a double but I was really disapointed with the quality. Some songs are an ochestra, some are a harp, others a guitar. It doesn't make for a very coherent collection.
