Perfect Choice!,

After a trip to the wedding section of Barnes and Noble, I found myself a bit confused as to which wedding planner to get. They all were very similar. I ended up picking this one because it was a binder, which would allow me to add in my own things and had dividers with pockets. I also liked that it had a three hole punch included. I also liked that it had budget checklists AND advice on each item needed. For example: for the flower girl basket- it described the differences between them and then range of prices they run so when I went out looking I would know that an $100 flower girl basket was a rip off. Anyway, this planner has been awesome!

I didn't actually buy this on Amazon, but in a bookstore at the mall (for a lot more than what amazon is charging, I'm an idiot for not checking here first), ah,I digress. This planner is very helpful. It goes over all aspects of wedding planning and I love the 3 ring binder idea. I can add my own pages to it so that when I go to dress shop or to talk to the photographer I have all of the stuff I need. My favorite part about this book is the break down of every little thing. Each section has a huge list of questions to ask each vendor. You can add all of the vendors from each section that you have talked to, so that when you decide who to go with you can compare them side by side and see who includes what in the price. It's very useful and I highly recomend it.

Covers Everything,

This planner has dividers with pockets, a section of colored photos to help you get started collecting ideas, and sections with example ceremony set-ups and traditions. The three-hole punch provided could work a bit better, but it does the job and lets me add pages I tear out of magazines to the binder easily.
The planner is very customizable (add pages you like, remove pages you don't), and gives you a starting block you wouldn't get with an empty binder. It breaks everything down into little pieces - from the Ceremony rentals to the Reception catering. I would definitely recommend this for someone who plans on comparing a lot of vendors or is getting married at a location that requires you to bring in rentals, catering, insurance, a separate reception site, etc. All these details can be efficiently organized by this planner The information provided is good reference, but some didn't work for my event (like the budget percentages). I found that I'm not using the pages provided because many things are included in our location's "wedding package".

This planner & organizer has been wonderful! I'm planning a "budget" wedding (we're planning on spending under $5,000 for EVERYTHING) and it's still helpful. (Lots of others are aimed at big, expensive weddings). This planner offers worksheets, ideas, tips, and more.
After reading tons of reviews on Amazon, and looking at dozens in the book store, I decided on this one. I've had it for a couple months, and use it all the time. I've added lots of my own pages copied from other books or cut out of magazines and it's all holding up very well! If you're trying to decide between this one and "The Ultimate Wedding Planner & Organizer, 2nd Edition" (I was) there are very few differences. That one has a customizable cover (you can slip in your own photo), and comes with a tote bag and business card holders. This one has full color "idea" photos, photos of wedding flowers, and tabbed dividers. Other than that, all the pages are exactly the same. Whichever one you decide on, order it here! Both are several $$s more in the store. :)

This is a straightforward and simple guide to wedding planning. It has a lot of helpful information about wedding traditions, timeline help, and what the pricing ranges should be for particular items. I didn't use all of the sections in this book, but what I did use I found very helpful. As someone who has not attended many weddings, and then found myself planning my own, this was a necessary guide. It takes off a lot of stress when you can go through all of the planning stepwise.
The most useful features are: +A complete sample timeline. This was down to the minute, outlining when you should cut the cake, get makeup done, etc. +Checklist by time. It has a checklist set up for different time intervals, explaining what you should have done and when. It details how far ahead of time you need to get alterations, send out invitations, get bridesmaid gifts, etc. It even has all of the small details in it, like when you should start breaking in your shoes. Overall, this is an easy to follow and very thorough guide for wedding planning.

I purchased this book to help me organize my wedding planning, but found that it is extremely detailed and thourough and more appropriate for a wedding size of several hundred guests. I plan on doing a couple of things for the wedding by myself rather than hiring someone, so a few things in this book I never even found use for. Everything from a Party Favors Comparison Chart to a Wedding Day Transportation Timeline; it's a little excesive. Other than that, the general information it contains was very helpful and informative.

I purchased this planner a few days after I got engaged. Obviously, I couldn't wait to get it -- and much to my delight it arrived two days earlier than expected! I have never been married before and don't ever plan parties so I needed a really good reference to help me plan my wedding. This is the perfect wedding planner -- it has tabs that divide such sections as Bakery, Music, Reception, Attire, Ceremony, etc. There are folders for each section also, which I use to hold the pages I tear out of magazines. For everything else I use the 3-hole punch that comes with the planner to put everything in the planner itself. My only complaint would be that it doesn't seem to have any information about bridesmaids' dresses. The "Attire" section talks about The Tux, which the groomsmen wear as well as the groom. It would be nice if they would discuss dresses for bridesmaids and some things to consider for them, though. Overall, this is a great planner -- and I researched just about every one on the market! Even my fiance was impressed. When it came in the mail he said, "When you said you were getting a planner I thought you meant a binder. This is pretty cool!" I would definitely recommend this planner to anyone planning a wedding.
Happy Planning!

This binder has been very helpful for keeping things neat during this crazy planning time. Every time I meet with a vendor they always comment on how organized I must be. The pictures and checklists in the binder are helpful, but most things you can easily find online. The included hole-puncher is super helpful for immediately hole-punching contracts!

From my Fiance: I am very happy with this wedding planner. I think that it is very comprehensive and has some great ideas. The budget spreadsheets are very helpful... I also like that you can insert your own pages or folders to keep all your wedding related documents in one place... I highly recommend this book!

Gift for my daughter, she loved it. I needed to add two things to make it better. One was a sleeve for business cards, the other was 8 1/2" x 11" plastic sleeves to hold additional items such as pictures, articles and the like. Both of which I purchased at Staples.
