4.0 out of 5 stars The Complete Wineskin, January 18, 2000
By

This review is from: The Complete Wineskin: Restructuring the Church for the Outpouring of the Holy Spirit (Paperback)
I read this book twice. It opened my eyes not only to my own anointing, but to the anointings of other leaders in our church. I took it to our pastor and he intends to follow the structure suggested in the book. The part that got our attention was that pastors can only shepherd 50 people, so a mega-church must have shepherds for each 50 people. If you are praying for church growth, this book gives the necessary foundation on which to build the growth.

5.0 out of 5 stars Harold Rocks!, January 30, 2001
By
Freedom (Yakima, WA. United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Complete Wineskin: Restructuring the Church for the Outpouring of the Holy Spirit (Paperback)
Harold Eberle annihilates the status quo and explores the reasons why so many feel "discontent" in the church today. His explanation? The church is spiritually out of order and structured in a way that is ineffective for a New Testament people. But what does "out of order" mean? Harold explains, he also explores the high calling that God has placed on the Body of Christ and the reformation of mind, body and spirit that He seeks to implement. Yet, according to Harold, so much of what goes on in church government, both spiritual and physical, acts as a limiting agent that stifles Gods creative energy that He is birthing in the hearts of His people. Have you ever felt discontent with church even though you are head over heels in love with Christ? Have you ever wondered if there was something wrong with you for thinking "outside of the box" or felt guilty for wanting more? Have you ever been told that you are too much of an idealist and that you need to be more of a realist? If so, I highly recommend you check out The Complete Wineskin. Harold writes in a profoundly simple way that will have you looking up from the pages and crying out for God. Harold biblically explores and lays the foundation for the deeper things that you are feeling in your spirit. Try it out and test his words, you will see. The Complete Wineskin rocks!

5.0 out of 5 stars Potentially Liberating, February 17, 2005
This review is from: The Complete Wineskin: Restructuring the Church for the Outpouring of the Holy Spirit (Paperback)
Eberle presents an overview of the five gifts listed in Ephesians 4:11-12 and refers to them as "ministry gifts". He holds that there are only two offices in the church: i.e., elder and deacon. Those who function in ministry gifts comprise the eldership of the church. The author encourages a revolutionary rethinking of church structure to make room for the five-fold ministry. The book is potentially liberating for "pastors" who do not feel that their strength is in the ministry gift of pastoring. This paradigm makes room for those senior church leaders whose strength may actually be in the other four ministry gifts.

This book takes religion out of the church structure (As God intended it). Groups of beleivers meeting and organizing this way are having revival. God made it simple, men made it hard. Mr. Eberle brings common sense back to the church in a simple and easy to read format.

5.0 out of 5 stars Insightful and Necessary, December 29, 2008

This review is from: The Complete Wineskin: Restructuring the Church for the Outpouring of the Holy Spirit (Paperback)
This book offers an eye opening view of the restructuring of the Church. Bottom line: it makes a lot of sense. Understanding our callings and where they fit into the big picture is essential if we are to make an impact on the world around us.
This book offers a biblical solution to many of the problems churches face without attacking those that are in leadership.
Leaders of the Church and lay-people alike need to read and reread this book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Life Changing, December 19, 2007
This review is from: The Complete Wineskin: Restructuring the Church for the Outpouring of the Holy Spirit (Paperback)
The Complete Wineskin has truly changed my life. I have realized now why I could never settle in a church and why I would get so upset about the way things were ran. I have an anointing on my life and this book has answered questions that I've had since childhood. I am excited about what God is doing within the body of Christ and more so that he has chosen me and others to lead the way for which I am honored. Anyone who has ever felt the pull of the Holy Spirit to do and be more than what they are I challenge you to read this book it IS life changing.

4.0 out of 5 stars Something to Consider, July 1, 2004
By
This review is from: The Complete Wineskin: Restructuring the Church for the Outpouring of the Holy Spirit (Paperback)
A wineskin might be considered an anology for a way of thinking. Eberle contends that a new era of spiritual understanding is opening up taking people into deeper truths of the Bible as revealed by the Holy Spirit. He concludes with a call to let love be dominant in the midst of it all.

He describes how people with different anointings view things differently because they see things through the perspective of their anointing, i.e., the window God has given them on the world. Taken together, the various anointings supplement and compliment each other to bring about the entire mission of the church as a whole.

"The Spirit always places people where He wants them," he writes. That is reassuring. God's work is manifested through the diversity of giftings. This book will give you something to think about. Some of its content I'm still digesting.

This review is from: The Complete Wineskin: Restructuring the Church for the Outpouring of the Holy Spirit (Paperback)
If you want to see the Church of Scripture, the Church that God established on Earth that we chose to change, this is the road map back. This is what many theologians will not address. Too many denominational leaders are too fearful to giver up control of what they have.(If it didnt matter who would be in charge we could get alot done) Church has become a preference more than a conviction. If you want to know how to bring the total church together on earth this is your guide. Lets put the Body of Christ back together. " This do in RE-MEMBERING ME (Rememberance of Me)"

5.0 out of 5 stars Fasten your seatbelt, September 20, 2005
This review is from: The Complete Wineskin: Restructuring the Church for the Outpouring of the Holy Spirit (Paperback)
For years I have been concerned with the non-biblical traditions
that have pervaded the modern day church. The church has built
doctrine after doctrine on traditions created by men. This book
takes a fresh look at the church today and exposes the more
biblical structure that God has ordained for the church. It is a
challenge to read and accept the concepts that the author puts
forth. The biblical foundations of this book are real and appear to
be right on. This should be required reading for all church leaders.
