Fair Content, but NOT for the US Wireless Market, May 20, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: The Complete Wireless Communications Professional: A Guide for Engineers and Managers (Artech House Mobile Communications Library) (Hardcover)
Unfortunately, the author does not concentrate on CDMA and iDEN--the two dominant standards in the US--and focuses on the GSM market. Since he is a British author, the obvious slant is understandable.
Noentheless, the chapters on the fundamentals of wireless network accounting and the history of wireless are good. The more technical chapters are comprehensive (except for the concentration on the GSM standard) but he needs more techical drawings and diagrams.

This is an outstanding book. The explanations and level of detail are ideally suited as the title suggests. Clearly the author has spent considerable time and effort researching the subject and his knowledge is presented in a user friendly manor. Recommended reading for anyone considering entering the field of Mobile Telecommunications.
